Starring Will Schick and Hannah Schlotterbeck.

FUN FACT: This entire video was shot in under an
hour-and-a-half.

beatings explores the fine line between living and
dying. A young man's ordinary life is thrown into crisis
when he collapses one night. Later he finds out that his
heart and health are in danger. The present moment gives
way to an inner crisis-obsessed with the memory of his
father's heart attack at the age of thirty-three. The
young man turns to the three forms which safely house his
passions: boxing, the cello, and the love he has for his
wife and son. In images of boxing, the man seems to be
expressing a violence. When he plays the cello, the same
intensity is played out at the level

chronology of water: a glimpse of a woman's life seen
through the metaphor of water, the film dives into the
problematic relationship of a young woman and her abusive
father over a span of some thirty years. As a girl she is
held under by the weight of fatherhood. As a young woman
she swims against a current of residual rage. In the
present she is learning to live with a new kind of
freedom from her own memories.
