I've had the good fortune recently of getting to know the
recordings of soprano Erika Pauwels, courtesy of the
Belgian Radio and Television archives. She was apparently
well-known during the 1960s and 70s in her native
Belgium, both as a stage and radio performer, although it
seems she made relatively few appearances outside of her
homeland. Her singing is quite polished, memorable, and
deserving of a wider audience, however, so I thought this
video might make a worthwhile addition to the Youtube
community.
