Two of Brazil's greatest musicians combine their
considerable talents to produce one of the best albums
ever to represent the Tropicalia movement of the 1960s
and the Brazilian music scene in general. Consisting of
only two acoustic guitars throughout (with some
percussion) Gil e Jorge is an album that best exemplifies
an unadulterated moment captured of two men as musicians,
vocalists, and performers. Recorded with very little
rehearsal and preparation, these 8 lengthy folk songs
show that the foundation for any credible musician is in
improvisation and interact
