When I first became a Christian, I found this
cassette, somewhere, of Christmas songs by a well-known
Hong Kong Chinese Singer, Frances Yip. She was
multi-lingual, singing first in Mandarin and later when
Sam Hui invented Canto-pop, in Cantonese. She attempted
to cross over into the English-speaking world, releasing
"It ought to sell a million" in the United Kingdom, but
didn't quite make it. But that is besides the point.
She introduced me to this beautiful song and I like the
various versions I heard later by other Caucasian
singers.
