 Eastleigh Residents Tell Raila To Reduce Maize Prices

Prime Minister Raila Odinga came face to face with
demands for the government to bring down maize flour
prices. His tour of Eastleigh to inspect roads and sewage
systems was nearly interrupted after residents confronted
him at a shopping mall demanding that he reduces the high
prices of maize meal and address the issue of taxation
for members of parliament.

trail of reckless deals sanctioned by the fired board
that will most likely see the pensions body lose over 9
billion shillings. The audit had been ordered by Prime
Minister Raila Odinga who has now ratified a decision to
sack the board. The report narrates how the NSSF board
of trustees failed to follow the law in sanctioning deals
and how the sacked managing trustee Rachel Lumbasyo
sanctioned the irregular employment of more than 100
employees. Labour minister john Munyes said a new board
will be named in two weeks time.
