interpellé et emprisonné cette semaine après avoir
agressé sa petite amie. Il a frappé la jeune femme à

Vicent Gonzalez, âgé de 22 ans, se disputait avec sa
petite amie dans sa voiture lorsqu'il l'a saisie par les
bras et lui a plaqué sur le visage un cheeseburger qu'il
venait d'acheter dans un McDonald's, indique le rapport

Locals call out for investigation into police brutality

(05/30/08) YONKERS - A woman is suing the Yonkers
Police Department for $11.3 million after a video appears
to show her getting slammed to the ground by an officer.
Irma Marquez, the woman in the video, filed the suit
against the police department, 10 officers at the scene
of the alleged incident and the City of Yonkers.
The video was recorded March 3 at La Fonda Restaurant on
Palisade Avenue. It appears to show Officer Wayne Simoes
slamming Marquez to the ground.
According to Marquezs lawyers, Yonkers police were called
after Marquez's niece was attacked by a restaurant

are calling for a full-blown investigation over a
brutality allegation made against a Yonkers police
officer.
The incident was caught on camera and shows Yonkers
Police Officer Wayne Simoes slamming 44-year-old Irma
Marquez into the ground face first at la Fonda
Restaurant. The footage was taken last year, but was just
released Friday.
The community is outraged, saying nothing could warrant
