Penn Eastern Rail Lines SW900 #52 in Boyertown on the
Pottstown to Bowyer town branch or the Barto branch. This
line was shipping freight until early 2008 until taken
out of service. The line was going to be taken out until
the city of Boyertown found out about it. Now the line is
out of service until a decision is made. 52 was built in
1951 for the New York Central as a SW7. It was later sold
to the PB&NE which was the switching road for Bethlehem
Steel. They also bought 2 other NYC SW7's. They were all
rebuilt into SW900'S and became 50-52. 52 was sold to
Penn Eastern Rail Lines and is
